today i compared my current driver's license photo to the one i had 2 years (from age 22 to 24). i'm completely shocked at how much my facial bone structure has changed, for the worse. my jaw line is considerably broader, and facial features less defined. in between past and present, i've gained a lot of mass, including fat, but even still, i'm concerned that it could have been due to my use of AAS (cycle ended a few months ago).
a few people have mentioned an association with steroids and getting a more square jaw, but i can't find anything in the literature. there is one reference mentioning AAS induced changes in facial bones in adolescent rats:
Barrett RL, Harris EF: Anabolic steroids and craniofacial growth in the rat. Angle Orthod 63:289-298, 1993
but what about adults? anyone here noticed changes in their facial bone structure, and was it permanent?
